My 24th Birthday

Today was my 24th birthday and I had a wonderful day. The great fun actually started yesterday when John and I were able to relax together for the first time in months. The weather was absolutely beautiful so we took a picnic to a nearby park. After eating our lunch we kicked around a soccer ball and walked around the park to see the medieval club sword fighting. It was so much fun, I love spending time with John.
Sunday started out great from the beginning because it was stake conference and so I didn't have to teach sunbeams! After church we just relaxed, napped, watched The Office, and then John made me dinner. He bought all the ingredients without me knowing and wouldn't let me set foot in the kitchen. It was so nice, I didn't know what to do with myself while I waited to be served. John also made me a cake and bought me flowers. The only time he had to go shopping was a couple days ago so he bought the roses and hid them on the balcony for 2 days. It was so funny and I'm glad they stayed fresh! John also got me new church shoes that I've been wanting to get for a while. What a sweet and thoughtful hubby I have. I also got some chocolate, a beautiful framed picture, and a Twilight t-shirt (guilty pleasures) from friends and some cards from family and talked to them on the phone as well. All in all it was a wonderful birthday.
