Good Movies and Bad Food for 400

Our life has been pretty uneventful recently, I don't quite know what to say. John had Thursday and Friday off of school so he came to work with me and tried to study. He had a good laugh watching me try to feed Katie. She's eating rice cereal and vegetables now, it can be a messy battle to get the food to stay in her mouth.
On Friday we thought that we were going out to dinner and on a trolley tour with some interviewing students at South University. John volunteered to be one of the mentors for the night. Well we got to the school and after searching around from anyone from the PA program, we discovered that the interviews are next Friday. We decided to go out for dinner together anyway, which ended up being really disappointing. We went to Chili's expecting to have a nice meal together and neither us liked what we got. I got a steak fajita which only came with about 4 little pieces of meat and a lot of lettuce. I ended up eating mostly french fries and chips with salsa. It was kind of a waste of money. The more John and I eat out, the more we realize that we should just eat in. Not that I'm that the greatest cook or anything, we just end up spending a lot of money and being disappointed with what we get. After dinner we got two movies, Hairspray and August Rush. We really enjoyed both movies. They both had great music.
On Saturday I cleaned in preparation for John's parents who are coming to visit this week. I went a little crazy and ended up cleaning every inch of our balcony. I took out the screens in our windows and washed everything. It was nasty but now they sparkle like brand new babies. Not that anyone will notice, its too hot to go out on our balcomy during the day and when it's not too hot there are bugs. The price we pay for beautiful weather.
Sunday was a regular day. John played the piano for church and did a great job. I taught my little sunbeams and almost went crazy. The kids were jumping off the walls and then they would get hurt and come to me for a hug and tell me they love me. Cute and endearing but please, children! Don't jump off the walls!

Haha, I understand about the children all over the place. We've got "primary"(aka, just nursery because that is as old as the oldest kid!) and I'm in the Presidency, but on Sunday this poor little gender confused boy was breast feeding a baby and wearing pink dress up shoes. Oh well, I guess they'll learn more when they are older about gender roles:)

I hate being disappointed when I go out to eat. I feel betrayed by the restaurant, since it was supposed to be a treat, but ended up being a waste. Glad you liked the movies though.

I was going crazy on Sunday too, but because of Derek. He was so crazy all during sacrament meeting!! After the 4th or 5th time he ran away by escaping down the side wall, Hayden Cardiff came and sat with me to help me contian the wild man. Fun times :).

LOL. Your own children will never be that bad will they? ;) One day I will see the little John and Victorias running around and I'll just smile at you and say 'Sunbeams'.
