This Saturday John and I drove to the Temple in Columbia, South Carolina. It took us about 2.5 hours and a full tank of gas to get there but it was worth the drive. It's just a mini temple but it was still really beautiful. There was a bookstore right beside it which was nice. The temple is located in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of Columbia, the capital of SC. We thought we were going the wrong way because the road was just a rural highway but it was really nice because the temple was surrounded by trees in a really peaceful setting.
After our trip we went straight to our Primary Luau at a member's house in Richmond Hill. (The names of cities here are kind of comical because although you'd assume Richmond Hill to be on a hill, the only places that aren't flat anywhere near Savannah are the bridges.) We got rained out but the kids still had fun.
On Friday John and I went to see Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with some friends. It was really fun, we haven't been to the movies in a while. John thought it was awesome, I enjoyed it too. I liked how they kept true to the old style Indiana movies.

Sounds like you had great fun at the temple and the luau. Thanks for coming and commenting on our blog. I'm not sure we told you but we are heading back to BYU for my masters.
I liked Indy 4 too. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad you and John got to go to the S.C. temple. What a great experience. Love and miss you guys!
What a pretty picture of the temple. So sad we couldn't go with you, but glad we still got to do the movie thing :).
Nice... Indiana Jones and temple (but not of doom). We basically did the same thing last week end.... Any plans for Fatonious Colver's B-day?
Oh man, wouldn't it be nice to have the temple just up the street like in Provo? I'm glad you guys got to go though! Always worth it!
