This week while Victoria was at girls camp I went home to Utah to spend time with family and friends. While it was hard to be away for so long from my sweetie I had a lot of fun!
I flew in late Monday night, was picked up at the airport by Jon Bennion, and stayed at his place in American Fork that night. In the morning, I met up with my mom, dad, and brother Mike to do lunch, shopping, and then games and movies at the house back at home in Elk Ridge.
This is us at the Cabella's Diner where we had ostrich and bison sandwiches for lunch. It was a first for all of us... not too bad...

At home we played a new game, killer bunnies. Much anticipated by myself, it's a card game similar to the Italian game "Bang" where we collect carrots and bunnies to protect them, all the while using creative ways to kill each others rabbits, and steal each others carrots. It was a lot of fun.
Day 2 we woke up late, I went running then we set out for Orem to go to Costco and a new pizza diner. Costco was great, we don't have one down here in Georgia and so I enjoyed just browsing - especially in the electronics.
This is us at the pizza place, I can't remember what it was called... It was the first time any of us had been there.
The pizza was not your typical American pizza, very European-like. This was a goat cheese, and eggplant pizza with olives.

Back at home we played some more games and watched some movies. It was good to be home again. Oddly enough, it almost felt as if I had never left, or that living in Georgia was just a dream. Weird how that happens.
"HALOOOOO..."
Thursday commenced our Halo festivities... Britton flew in from Cali and Brian widowed his wife (only for a couple of days - thanks Ariel and Renee). Jon hosted Halostock with much appreciation to Jen who put up with us all. The original roomates were together again after a long drought of Halo-killing enjoyment.
Teams were as always: the fearless Jcolve and Bourne against the determined Bdubb and Leonidas (formerly known as Jack Bauer). Team jerseys were distributed this year via our sponsors and the killing commenced once positions were assumed on the pimp-pouch. Thursday night was only a warm-up event. Friday day we paused for some Rock Band, Volleyball, and Pool-Time. Friday night Halo was definately the highlight, going late. fueled by an ample supply of Dr. Pepper and fast food.
Here are contenders (minus myself) in pregame warm up, Friday morning

You guys are lucky I wasn't there I am sure I would have ... given Jon a lot of easy kills. Dang it! Well, it looks like a ton of fun. Sorry I missed all the HALO time.
Hi John and Victoria,
Just wanted to tell you how great it was to see you John! We've missed you so much!!! We hope we will be able to see both of you soon. We know how hard it is for you two to be apart so you have to come together! Although Victoria looked like she had a great time with the young women.
We love you both very much!
