On Thursday Katie and I went to a Pottery Studio and made a Mother's day mug for her mom. We had fun and Katie was really excited to be in this new place and to paint for the first time.
This Friday we had the missionaries over for dinner and then we went to the church to play volleyball with them. I was worried about playing because anyone who knows me will tell you that I have zero coordination, but we ended up having a lot of fun.
On Saturday we went to Summer Waves water park on Jekyll Island with the Browns. It was really fun and afterwards we drove through the Island's historic district and had lunch at the Steak'n'Shake. Later that evening we played a game of Pinochle where Lisa and I slammed the boys in the first round. The second round we won again but only because the boys got to -1500 before we did.

Sunday was Mother's day and John got to have a conference call in the morning with his family and his brother Alan who's on a mission in England. John really enjoyed talking to his brother. Alan is doing really well on his mission and is serving as a District Leader right now. He thinks that he might become a trainer too. He's very excited about sharing the gospel and loves his mission. I had another crazy day in the primary, although it wasn't as bad as the nightmare I had about primary the night before! I love my Sunbeams, they can just be a handful sometimes.
Monday came along and John and I felt like we hadn't had any weekend rest at all! Well at least we had fun!

Thanks for being the best pinochle partner ever!
"i thought you didn't have SO many friends... i thought you lived a boring life... i thought I was your FRIEND... :(
I guess, that's how long distance relationships are... oh well, we'll be ok."
We are glad you had a great weekend and wish we could be there.
