I have had some requests for an updated picture of Katie. Here she as cute as can be! These pictures were taken by my friend Lisa Brown a few weeks ago. Katie was 5 months old. She's so sweet and such a good baby to take care of. I just love her!

A little family with a little to say...

Wow, she must be an amazing photographer - he he! Katie is such a cutie!
victoria, she is beautiful! i finally found the magazine i told you about that has games to play with the baby by age. here are the ideas for 3-6 mo.:
1. give them objects with different textures to feel (merayla currently likes things that make a noise when you scratch them or some babies like "softies" on their cheeks)
2. put something in a container with a lid without the baby seeing it, shake it, surprise her by showing what's inside that made the sound, then try it with something else
3. when they make a noise, mimic the sounds they make as if you are talking to them, wait for their response, then add new sounds
4. cause-and-effect games like playing with the doorbell or the light switch; also you can fill your cheeks with air and then let it out in a poof each time they touch you
5. do wiggles to music (merayla liked it when cristian bicycled her legs at that age.)
that's the ones they listed. is she rolling? she might like practicing rolling together.
also, we used to have great fun making the bed because i would put the sheet over her and say ""where's merayla?" and then take it away really fast and say, "there she is!" (of course, it's not over them for more than a second or so). she had even more fun when she could take it off her face on her own and she would bat at the sheet when it was settling or squeal when the bubble of air was coming down. merayla also liked laying on her back outside under a tree because she would watch the wind move the leaves, and this was nice for me because i had a few minutes to read a book or write or something.
anyway, i hope this comment isn't too long to submit. hope you are having fun today!
