Gingerbread House Party

This weekend we went to a Gingerbread House making party at our friend Gina's house. We had a great time building our house and hanging out with friends. John's motto when building our house was "Go big or go home." So we broke the mold and made our house bigger than all the others. John appointed himself "master architect." Thus the grandeur of our gingerbread house, the crafty brickwork, and the giant chimney can be attributed John. The cuteness, however, can be attributed to me. I made the Christmas lights, the front door, the garland around the door, the bushes, and the four-paned windows. I guess that makes me "master decorator."

I love making gingerbread houses! Yours looks great:) I was quite shocked when Nathan volunteered us for the ward dinner, then was a little anxious when it was getting closer and we didn't have a plan. It was so hard getting his mom to sit and tell us exactly what was needed, what it looked like when done, and so on. And Nathan assumed that because I don't have classes on Friday it wouldn't be a big deal (little did he know that finals were the next week, but it worked out). Anyway, it turned out to be fun! Have a Merry Christmas:)

How cute! Lily would be jealous, since she begged me to make a gingerbread house with her this year.
