This past weekend we got to go with our friend Hayden Cardiff and his family as he went through the temple for the first time. It was really nice to be there as he experienced such a beautiful and peaceful place for the first time. We drove 2.5 hours to be with him at the Columbia, South Carolina temple. Afterwards we went out for dinner and had South Carolina BBQ (it's mustard based!).
Hayden recently received his mission call and will be serving his mission in Rome, Italy starting in January. John has had a lot of fun playing volleyball with Hayden and will miss him when he leaves!

what a neat experience. I sure miss having the temple so close. It is sure a change when you have to drive so far. josh and i are hoping to get there over christmas break when my parents can watch the kids. hope you are doing well in your nursing school. i am sure you are doing wonderfully.
